Dr. Chappell Daniel
Biography
Prof. Chappell is the Chief of Obstetric and Gynaecological Anesthesia and Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, University Hospital of Munich in Germany. He spent time at the Medical Schools at the Groote Schuur University in Cape Town and St. Thomas Hospital at King's College in London. Prof. Chappell has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, reviews, book chapters, and commentaries. His principle area of research is vascular physiology, endothelial permeability and perioperative fluid management. He has received several national and international grants also from the European Society of Anaesthesiology and given lectures at many meetings worldwide. He has presented at over 100 regional, national, and international meetings and visiting professorships. He is a current member of the Global Young Academy (GYA).
