International Fluid Academy local chapters are regional extensions of the International Fluid Academy (IFA) that facilitate education, collaboration, and community engagement in fluid management and critical care. Local chapters serve as hubs for clinicians, educators, and researchers to connect, share knowledge, and support professional development in specific geographic contexts.
These chapters empower local healthcare professionals to participate in IFA activities while addressing region-specific challenges and opportunities in fluid management.
The purpose of International Fluid Academy local chapters is to strengthen the global IFA community by enabling regional participation in evidence-based education, research exchange, and collaborative activities.
Local chapters support:
Dissemination of high-quality educational content tailored to regional needs
Facilitation of local events, workshops, and dialogues
Engagement with healthcare professionals, institutions, and academic partners
Connection to the broader IFA global network
Through these activities, International Fluid Academy local chapters reinforce the application of best clinical practices and global standards in fluid management.
International Fluid Academy local chapters are formed by professionals who share IFA’s commitment to scientific integrity, transparency, and professional learning. While each chapter operates within its own institutional context, all chapters align with IFA’s mission and governance structure.
Chapters may:
Organize local educational events, seminars, and case discussions
Promote IFA frameworks and resources within their region
Foster research collaboration and quality improvement initiatives
Serve as regional points of contact for IFA members and the wider clinical community
Local chapter activities complement IFA’s central education and training programmes while encouraging context-relevant innovation.
As an official chapter of the International Fluid Academy (IFA), you’ll join a dynamic global community of fluid management and stewardship professionals and champions. You’ll receive moderator or host access on our members’ portal, allowing you to build chapter-specific pages and foster a thriving community within IFA. Our Society Manager will provide logistical and promotional support, readily available via email or WhatsApp; contact details will be shared upon confirmation.
The IFA members portal offers many features to help you engage with your members, including event and webinar creation, discussion forums, surveys and polls, video lecture embedding, research paper sharing, and much more. To keep your chapter vibrant and engaging, we expect regular posts, discussions, and updates to maintain your community’s interest and excitement. Our Society Manager will guide you through all available tools in a video call training session.
After the start-up, your chapter will receive a one-year trial period, in which the IFA will monitor the chapter engagement on your chapter-specific pages.
Once established, your chapter leadership team can initiate the pathway toward one of the affiliations becoming a local Centre of Excellence in Fluid Stewardship (CEFS) in your country.
Fill out the contact form to express your interest and take the first step in creating your local chapter. Our team will be in touch to guide you through the process.
